Being fast requires athletes to do 3 things:

1) Put a lot of force into the ground

2) Do it with minimal ground contact

3) In the right direction

We can build up our force capabilities in the gym with strength and power training but our ability to do it at rapid speeds, especially in the right direction with ideal technique is what separates the slow from the quick.

Our speed & agility sessions are completely guided by our strength & conditioning coaches. They will work with you to build your best sprinting and change of direction technique, as well as ensure your placing your body under sufficient training load to not only get faster but also be stay ready for your other sporting demands.

Most people run their whole lives without getting taught what adjustments they could make to move more efficiently, often time developing poor habits which hold their speed back and then resorting to the excuse of “It’s just my genetics”.

Now we can’t change your parents, but, we can make significant improvements in your technique with our speed & agility coaching watching each rep and giving concise feedback on what to work on. 

Improving your technique ensures that the force capabilities you have worked hard to improve on in your training is placed in the right positions to get you to the direction you want to go faster.

Each athlete is different and will require a different technique and program in order for them to do whats best for them to get faster. The way we ensure that your strategy is working is by testing to make better informed programming decisions

To ensure you're doing the right amount to improve and feel fresh for your sport

A common barrier to speed & agility training for athletes is that it’s another training stress that is hard to fit around an already busy training schedule, especially during in-season periods. 

Because speed is so important in your sport, yet you hardly are exposed to enough top end efforts during a game or at your skills training to improve it, we don’t need to expose your body to the sprinting demands of a competitive track sprinter to see awesome results. 

This is why we create a program that fits around your schedule and aims to fit in small amounts of speed & agility volume during heavy training periods with a large focus on low impact drilling and technique adjustments, while upping the volume during lower off-season periods. 

 

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING GYM PROGRAMMING

To ensure you have all the tools to support you getting faster on the pitch

Although no exercise will directly get you faster other than sprinting itself, we can indirectly improve it by developing the amount of force you can produce, the rate of force you can produce it at as well as improve upon the positions we want to produce it in when sprinting & changing direction. 

Our membership options allow you to not only receive speed & agility coaching but also access our performance facility down the road where you will receive coaching and programming by our high performance staff.  

These gym sessions coincide with your speed & agility programming to work on your strengths and weaknesses so that you have every advantage for becoming a weapon in your sport.
